Religious Educator Resources

UUSC offers religious educators tools and resources designed to incorporate human-rights and social-justice advocacy into their work. Here you will find those materials, along with the educational components of our very popular Justice Sunday and Guest at Your Table programs.

Beyond the Mountain

Beyond the Mountain, a curriculum made up of five workshops, introduces congregants to the history, culture, and people of Haiti, highlighting UUSC's ongoing response to the devastating January 2010 earthquake. Produced in partnership with the UUA and the Veatch Program of the UU Congregation at Shelter Rock.

Blessing the Peacemakers

Based on UUSC's Covenant Group modules, Blessing the Peacemakers consists of four modules specifically designed for religious educators. By engaging with these materials, religious educators are afforded the opportunity to reflect on the values and ideals that inspire justice-making work.

Role Plays

These resources are provided to help you present role plays that illustrate the challenges faced by the people UUSC assists with your help. You can use role plays in a service, or you can incorporate them into discussion groups for adults or youth groups. They can be used in religious-education classes, a Justice Sunday program, or other social-justice awareness and education programs.
