Stand Up for Climate Justice

The disruption caused by climate change affects all of us, but the people who are feeling these impacts most profoundly did little to cause them. They are street vendors in Kenya who are grappling with the instability of crop failures and rising food prices. They are women in Darfur who must walk further and further away to collect firewood.

You can help address this injustice by supporting our partners to ensure a safer, healthier tomorrow. Donate to UUSC's Climate Justice Offset Program today.

This is how the Climate Justice Offset Program works — you donate $35, $350, or $3,500 to UUSC to support the work of our partners to advance social justice and develop methods to deal with the effects of Climate Change.

Why the numbers 3-5-0?

Because 350 is the most important number in the world today. It is what scientists say is the safe upper limit for parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. At current rates of emission, we will quickly enter that "Over 350" danger zone.

That's why we must take concrete steps — NOW — to ensure an equitable future, safe from climate catastrophe.

On October 24, people around the globe will demonstrate their support for strong climate action at the U.N. Climate Change Conference, in Copehenhagen. Creative events, organized by 350.org, will play on the number 350.

Participating in UUSC's Climate Justice Offset Program is a way that YOU can stand up alongside other global citizens to create Climate Justice today.
