Internships

UUSC internships offer opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to learn about a program or administrative area while providing concrete services to the agency. Interns are unpaid, and work at UUSC as part of an accredited education program. All internships are located in our Cambridge, Massachusetts, office unless otherwise indicated.

Potential interns are encouraged to design their own internships in consultation with UUSC staff and their academic advisors. We will consider an intern for any UUSC department.

Examples of work done by previous interns

  • Research and write reports on human rights issues in Africa, Aisa, Latin America or the Caribbean
  • Write and edit public relations material, conducting related research including interviews
  • Develop constituency education materials
  • Analyze the cost of the agency's direct mail fund raising program
  • Research current and potential donors
  • Assist in developing programs to advocate for children and families in the United States

To apply for an internship, students should complete the internship application form available from UUSC's human resources office, which will facilitate making connections between students and appropriate staff.
