UUSC Just Journeys |
Travel
on a JustJourney with UUSC! |
|
|

Share in the enduring hopes, daily struggles, and ultimate victories
of human rights defenders in the United States and around the world.
Go on a Just Journey.
UUSC JustJourneys are unique educational travel experiences that
focus on human rights and social justice issues. JustJourneys
participants will come into direct contact with UUSC program
partners and other human rights defenders. You will return inspired,
well informed, and with tools to become a more effective human
rights activist.
JustJourneys are usually 7-10 days, during which participants will
examine themes such as:
Justice and reconciliation in Guatemala.
Fair trade in the United States and around the world.
Indigenous communities and the right to water.
Economic justice and women’s labor rights.
Each JustJourney includes an overview of the historical, cultural,
social, and economic context in which human rights struggles
develop, as well as an opportunity to hear a number of different
perspectives on an issue. It is a unique opportunity to hear various
perspectives on an issue, reflect together, build community, and
develop action steps to create change so that human rights can be
fully realized.
Join one of our planned JustJourneys
We are currently planning JustJourneys to Latin America but we will
be soon expanding to other regions of the world. Check back
regularly for information on upcoming trips!
Sponsor your own JustJourney
Any congregation, group, or institution with an interest in social
justice issues can contact us with a proposal for a JustJourney. We
will work together to establish the best possible option based on
your objectives and UUSC’s program work.
