Rohingya Women Development Network

Providing support for Rohingya refugee women in Malaysia.
Rohingya Women Development Network

LOCATION: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Rohingya Women Development Network (RWDN) was founded in 2016 by Sharifah Shakirah. RWDN endeavors to have men and women work together to fashion a better future for everyone. The organization conducts its work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where there are over 100,000 registered and over 200,000 unregistered Rohingya refugee women. To that end, RWDN teaches women life skills and opportunities for leadership development.

UUSC’s support allows RWDN to maintain their staff and rental space. The staff members provide key services such as registration, case management, and aid distribution. RWDN will continue to build its registered members’ capacities through continued education.
