On Thursday, September 12, 2019, Unitarian Universalist Service Committee in collaboration with No More Deaths / No Más Muertes (NMD) hosted a virtual town hall on deepening our collective understanding of the criminalization of compassion and answering the call to action from those at the border.

UUSC CEO and President Rev. Mary Katherine Morn joined NMD’s Legal Defense Campaign Coordinator Maralena to discuss NMD volunteer Dr. Scott Warren’s felony charges for helping migrants in the desert, his upcoming retrial, and what we as a UU community can do to have a faithful response to attacks on humanitarian aid and compassion.
