John Howard
Director of Human Resources
John has a diverse career in the nonprofit industry, including roles in direct care in mental and behavioral health facilities, in-home family therapy work, and clinical leadership positions. During the past 10 years, John supported talent, leadership and organizational development initiatives at Youth Villages, a national leader in behavioral and mental health for children and families. His varied work in HR domains supported steady program growth, strong organizational culture feedback, and excellent clinical outcomes.
John is originally from Maine and holds an undergraduate degree in English Literature from Skidmore College and a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Maine. John is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and earned the Senior Certified Professional credential in July 2020.
